Colour Mixing

The children really enjoyed mixing watercolours this afternoon and found out that the primary colours red, blue and yellow can be mixed together to create the secondary colours orange, purple and green. The children also learnt how to create a tint of colour by adding white and also how to create a shade of colour by adding black. They used a castle template to practise mixing different colours in preparation for painting their own version of Paul Klee's 'Castle and Sun'.
