Welcome to Year 2, 2017

Dear Parents and Children,

Happy New Year! We hope you all had a fantastic break and the children are raring to go! This term promises to be a busy one! The children are already getting excited about their new topic —London. Sadly there is no trip to London planned, but we are going to visit St Minver Church, the Bodmin Fire Station and take a walk around the local area. We are currently creating a display of our local area and it would be great if the children could bring in a photograph of their home to add to our display.

As with last term Mrs Cudmore will teach the class on Mondays and Tuesdays and Mrs Lane will teach Wednesday to Friday. Rossi and Mr Rickard will take the children for PE on Wednesday afternoon.

Here is an outline of the things that happen every week:
Monday        - Homework and spellings given out
Wednesday  - P.E. with Rossi and Mr Rickard
Friday          - Spelling test, maths homework returned and
library book changed

We will update this website on a weekly basis with a few pictures to let you know what we've been up to, so do keep visiting!

Please pop in and speak to us if you have any questions.
Here's to a happy and busy year!
With very best wishes,
Sam Lane, Louisa Cudmore and Jan Mably
British Values
We have been thinking about our class rules for this year.
We linked them to the rules of our country and sorted them into groups.
We also thought about the consequences our actions have.
