Welcome to Year 2, 2017

Dear Parents and Children,

Welcome back!

Well here we are in the children’s last term in Year 2. Doesn’t time fly?  We hope you all had a fantastic break and the children are raring to go! This term promises to be a busy one! The children are already getting excited about their new topic —Caring for Our World, focussing on Rainforests this half term and oceans after half term. We have some exciting trips planned linked to this topic - The Eden Project, Bodmin Recycling Centre, Polzeath Marine Conservation Centre and hopefully Mark's Ark will bring some of his exciting animals into school as well.

As with last term Mrs Cudmore will teach the class on Mondays and Tuesdays and Mrs Lane will teach Wednesday to Friday. Rossi and Mr Rickard will take the children for PE on Wednesday afternoon

Here is an outline of the things that happen every week:
Monday        - Homework and spellings given out
Wednesday  - P.E. with Rossi and Mr Rickard
Friday          - Spelling test, maths homework returned and
library book changed

We will update this website on a weekly basis with a few pictures to let you know what we've been up to, so do keep visiting!

Please pop in and speak to us if you have any questions.

We look forward to a happy, sunny and enjoyable Summer Term!

Thank you for your continued support. It really is appreciated.

With very best wishes,

Sam Lane, Louisa Cudmore and Jan Mably
British Values
We have been thinking about our class rules for this year.
We linked them to the rules of our country and sorted them into groups.
We also thought about the consequences our actions have.
