Welcome to Year 6
Welcome to Year 6 where the teacher is Mr Baines ably assisted by Miss Hawes.
Already we're back from the summer holidays and find ourselves at the start of another exciting year! I am vey excited to join the team here at St Minver and have planned some fabulous activities for journey children.
Our first term's topic is the Victorians and as well as studying this historic period of British history, the topic will be linked to our Literacy, Art, DT, and ICT lessons too. In science, we will be looking at the topics of 'Forces', 'Light' and 'Electricity'.

The children in class 6 have been busy learning about the life of poor children during Victorian times and written diaries from the point of view of poor children forced to work in factories and workhouses. Listen to some of the diary entries below.
