Our first day in Greenaway Class. We thought about our school motto 'Be Brave, Be Kind, Belong'.
We received some special messages from our class mascot 'Twit Twoo' which we sorted onto our friendship tree.
We enjoyed using the iPads to create a fact file about ourselves using the book creator app.
We had fun using the camera tool to take a selfie. We learnt how to change the colour and size of our writing.
Enjoying some well earned golden time after a super week in Greenaway Class.
We have settled brilliantly into our new routines.
We were delighted to ALL be stars of the week and enjoyed some extra exploring time to celebrate our hard work.
We enjoyed going into the hall to act out the beginning of the story 'Paddington' by Michael Bond.
We imagined what it must have been like for Paddington Bear all by himself in the middle of a busy Paddington Station.
We acted out the scene when Mr and Mrs Brown first met Paddington and thought about what the characters might say to each other.
We enjoyed sequencing the story of Paddington Bear into chronological order.
We carefully cut out the pictures and stuck them in our English books. Next week will retell the story in our own words.
We enjoyed learning and practising our Wake and Shake routine to 'Best Day of My Life' by American Authors.
We are looking forward to leading Wake and Shake to the whole school on a Thursday morning.
We listened to the story 'Have you filled a bucket today?' by Carol McCloud and thought of the different ways we could be a bucket filler.

We enjoyed taking part in a live dance workshop led by Dame Darcey Bussell to celebrate National Fitness Week 2022!
We learnt lots of different dance moves and enjoyed joining in with lots of other schools all over the country.
We have enjoyed looking at the lovely Paddington stories that have been sent into school and sharing them with our friends.

We have been learning to order numbers to 100.
We enjoyed ordering numbers to 100 on the iPads. We used our knowledge of place value to help us order the numbers.
We have been learning to name the different famous landmarks in London.
We have been writing directions to navigate between the different London landmarks on the map.
We have enjoyed being 'mini' teachers this week and have helped our friends when we have finished our work.
This week we began our art project to create a London Silhouette.
First, we looked at different silhouettes and tried to work out what they were of. Then we thought about the background for our silhouette.
We enjoyed blending pastels together to create our sunset background and river. It was rather a messy job, but we had lots of fun!
Next, we thought about which London landmarks we wanted to include in our silhouette of London and carefully cut them out using black paper.
We then placed them on our background before gluing them in place.

We have been investigating some special evidence sent to us.

We enjoyed tasting Paddington's favourite sandwich on Friday. Delicious marmalade sandwiches. Yum Yum!
We enjoyed completing this jigsaw of the different landmarks along the River Thames in London. Great teamwork boys!
This week we began making our Tudor houses.
We carefully drew our windows and began adding detail to our house.

We enjoyed raising money for Children in Need. Thank you very much for all the pennies you kindly brought in to fill up Pudsey and Blush.
This afternoon we continued adding detail to our Tudor house.
We also began making our roof for our Tudor house.
It's beginning to feel a lot like Christmas!
We enjoyed our Christmas craft day to celebrate the first day of December and the countdown to Christmas.
We made some advent wreaths, Christmas stars and some lovely calendars for 2023. We can't wait to share them with our family at the end of term.
We enjoyed our trip to Bodmin Fire station to find out all about the wonderful fire service we have today.
We had a competition to see who could get changed into the fire fighting equipment the quickest. The clothing and boots were very heavy.
There was a 'call out' whilst we were at the station. The fire officers left very quickly to respond to the call.
We had great fun using the hose to spray water.
We even tried to carry some of the equipment which was very heavy.
We had the best time at Bodmin Fire Station.
We enjoyed visiting the secret room today.
There were so many lovely presents to choose from.
We hope our family and friends like the presents we have chosen for them.
We enjoyed visiting Porthilly Class this afternoon to find out about coding.
We enjoyed finding out about the different games Porthilly Class had created on Scratch Jr.

We were very excited to set fire to a replica of our Tudor house today.
We sang 'London's burning, London's burning' as the fire spread across our model houses.
We enjoyed playing a game of pass the parcel to the end the Autumn term. Merry Christmas everyone!
