The sleepy sloth was our favourite!
Look at these marvellous mammals!
We learnt how to use a keyboard and continued to develop our mouse skills.
During exploring time some of Daymer Class created their very own computers. They even had their own printers too!
We are fantastic at using concrete and pictorial representations of numbers.
We started our art topic, 'self portraits'. We began by thinking about the position of the features of our face.
We practiced sketching techniques to draw our faces.
In the next few weeks we will look at self portraits by Vincent Van Gogh and then paint one of our own.

We loved sharing stories with the teddies in our reading corner!
We've had fun in our outside space too!
We have been learning to form our numbers correctly.
We've been counting sets of objects and matching them to the correct numeral.
Welcome to the autumn term in Daymer Class. Our topic for the first half of this term is 'Animals are Amazing' and we are looking forward to sharing what we already know about animals as well as learning lots more too. We have a trip to Newquay Zoo to support our learning which should be lots of fun! If you have any books at home which you feel would support the children's learning, please send them in. We will look after them and return them to you at half term.
Please take a look at our weekly photos to see what the children have been up to in class. For more information about this half-term's learning, follow the link to our parent booklet.
If you have any questions of concerns, please pop in and have a chat. We are always available before and after school.
With best wishes,
Mrs Cray and Miss Merson
