Welcome back, to the second half of the Autumn term.
As you would expect, with the festive season fast approaching, it’s going to be all singing and all dancing. We are so pleased with how well Porthilly Class have gelled together since their return in September—it has been such a pleasure to be a part of an awesome team. This term we will complete our Mountains topic, which will then run in to learning about Rivers (Did you see what we did there?)
We will also be starting a new topic on Space which will be linked to Design and Technology, and Computing, where we will be making Mars Rovers and introducing variables in code to produce a simple game, linked to our Mars Rover project.
We will also be learning our Christmas performance songs and dance routines, in preparation for entertaining you all. In addition, we will be making some beautiful Christmas crafts, which the children will bring home nearer the end of term.
