Welcome back to the second half of the Spring term. The children really have done such an amazing job during the last half term! Everyone in Porthilly Class have worked so hard and have such a brilliant attitude to learning —What an amazing team!
This half term, we will be continuing to learn about the Ancient Maya and lots of our work will continue to be linked to both the Ancient Maya and the area of Mesoamerica which they inhabited. The children have already produced some brilliant stories based on our class book, The Explorer, set in the Amazon Rainforest, and we will continue to base lots of our Literacy work around the ideas and themes of this exciting book.
We have lots of exciting activities planned over the next six weeks; a trip to Newquay Zoo, St Piran's and World Book Day rolled into one, Science week, Bikeability, and the Spring Concert. It's going to be a busy one with so much to look forward to.
