WELCOME TO PORTHILLY CLASS
Porthilly Class is for children in Year 4 and Year 5.
Our P.E. sessions will be on Tuesday and Friday each week. Please ensure that the children have a full P.E. kit in school to change into on these days. Homework will be sent out each Friday to be returned the following Friday.
If you have any questions or queries, please do catch us at the beginning or end of the school day, when we can make an appointment to get together as soon as possible.
Our topic this term is the Egyptians which will be explored through our topic and Literacy, Art and DT.
We have made a clay pinch pot for the base of our Canopic jar.
We then pinched out and sculpted a lid,in the style of either Imsety, Hapy, Duamutef, or Qebehsenuef, the sons of Horus.
After introducing key skills of pinching clay and using sculpting tools, the children confidently produced their Canopic pot lids.
